More coming...
I have sought a thousand answers where I needed one,
I have walked toward the horizon that I would touch the sun,
And I have crossed the rivers where the mighty waters run,
But only when I loved you was my journey finally done.
Yes only when I loved you did the morning light the sky,
And only when I loved you did I hear the seagull cry,
And only when I loved you the illusion started to die,
Beloved, my Beloved, how your beauty fills my eye.
Only when I loved you would the raindrops settle on the leaves,
And only when I loved you was the forest rustling in the breeze,
And only when I loved you my heart overflowed in peace,
Beloved, my Beloved, I bow upon my knees.
Before your beauty do I place a flower of devotion,
in your light do I find a glimpse of radiance,
to the majesty of night do I offer my singing,
at the altar of love my heart does sing.
From silence do I draw the breath of music,
for sweet fragrance do I worship the temple of the dawn,
for beauty do I burn the flame of my being,
at the altar of love my heart does sing.
In your presence do I exist in the mystery,
in your eyes do I enter my Self,
in your body do I touch the whole of creation,
at the altar of love my heart does sing.
